Great Value: Valu Burger

Great Value: Valu Burger

Sitting in an unassuming spot at the Dubai Motordrome lies an all new Food Truck named Valu Burger. While value may be the name of their game, flavor is what they deliver in spades.

Valu Burger offers a one page menu that’s packed full of burger goodness, along with some loaded fries, a few salad sides and your typical deep fried extras. While there may be approximately five hundred and eighty six thousand burger joints in Dubai already, they have somehow managed to come up with some extremely tasty buns.

For this visit we first tried the Big Valu Burger (AED 28) which comes with something a little bit different in the form of some lovely sun dried tomatoes which were an excellent addition to the beef bacon, melted cheese and lettuce making this one a bit of a BLT. The Angus beef pattie was plenty juicy making it a real pleasure to eat.

Next in line was the Valu Spicy 2 (Medium Spice). This was the stand out offering and really impressed us. What you get here is perfect tender chicken breast with a brilliant crunch courtesy of the batter that adds some great texture to each bite, it’s medium spicy so it definitely packs a little heat but without being over bearing while the potato buns are super soft and their lollipop sauce is a winner. Not much else you could ask for at just 17 Dirhams! Valu it is.

After the beautiful chicken burger, we also tried the Valu’O’Ring (AED 26) which was easily the surprise of the night. It’s like a pasta in a burger, with the combination of deep fried onion rings and elemental cheese and a mushroom sauce. Again, the Angus beef pattie was super tender and each bite was a juicy and interesting one with such a flavor combo. It’s not something that we would normally order but it was great and totally worth checking out.

Moving along, and we finished the evening off with their Chicken Cheetos Burger. This little number at only 22 Dirhams packs a real punch. The super juicy chicken breast with flame Cheetos and melted cheese with their own signature sauce is really just a party in your mouth.

Bottom Line:

All in all, this is a Food Truck worth checking out and it’s really quite remarkable how good a value these burgers are for how good they taste - it’s clear that this is a quality driven outfit over in Motor City.

Did we mention that there’s not one but two gyms right next door? You know where we’re going now right?

Enjoy.
